Our much-loved annual Village Show is going ahead but in a different format this year.
The popular event cannot be held in its usual way this year, due to the pandemic. We didn’t want people to miss all the fun, though, so our inventive show committee have come up with ways for it to go ahead in ways that are safely socially distanced.
This year’s show is linked to Middleton Hall’s 120th anniversary which is being marked this year and which is reflected in the categories taking place over the next few weeks.
Throughout September and October residents and co-owners and their friends and families are being invited to take part in a range of weekly challenges – including vegetables, flowers and plants, decorated cakes and photography – either by sending photos or submitting entries safely following instructions to be announced for judging. We’re even planning Covid-secure sports day activities and a 120 laps fund-raising challenge!
We’re looking forward to seeing a 120lb onion…
