We are holding two open days on Thursday 14 October and Saturday 16 October, 11am to 3pm, and inviting people to come and find out more about our range of award-winning independent retirement properties and highly regarded care services and to discover what it’s like to live in our friendly community.

Set in forty-five acres of stunning grounds just outside Middleton St George, near Darlington, Middleton Hall Retirement Village offers access to a wide range of exclusive facilities designed to help residents to live their lives to the full.

The village’s retirement properties are perfect for those looking to enjoy living independently as part of a vibrant community and include the Waterside development of high specification, spacious energy efficient bungalows and the elegant Middleton Woods apartments set around an attractive landscaped courtyard.

For those needing more support Middleton Hall also offers a choice of care services tailored to residents’ individual needs delivered by highly professional and dedicated teams.

On-site amenities for all residents include Middleton Spa, with a gym, pool and hairdressing and therapy rooms, alongside a range of sports facilities in the grounds, including a bowls green, pitch and putt and putting green.

The Orangery café and shop are at the heart of the village with an independent resident-run library and an art studio close by. The popular community allotments also feature a resident-built barbecue and pizza oven used for social gatherings in the summer.

Middleton Hall Retirement Village is more than just a place to retire, it is a place to thrive in a supportive community said Managing Director Suzanne Graham.

“Research has shown that people living in retirement communities are healthier and more independent and require reduced levels of health and care support,” she added.

“Everyone who lives here is supported to live their best lives and we prize helping residents to live as independently as they can above everything.

“From using the gym for the first time to getting involved with the numerous activities and events that take place, people are encouraged and enabled to lead active lives, which has very positive knock-on effects on health and well-being.”

Middleton Hall Retirement Village’s Open Day events take place between 11am and 3pm on Thursday 14 and Saturday 16 October at Middleton Hall Retirement Village, Middleton St George, Darlington, DL2 1HA.
