img_8062-copyIt was a pleasure to welcome two representatives from Darlington MIND to guide residents, families and staff through a day of Mindfulness.

Roberto and Christine’s objective was twofold – to introduce the topic of Mindfulness and how it can help us to feel happy in our daily lives, and to raise awareness of how other MIND services could help mental health issues.

A series of closed and open sessions was held throughout the day. These were very well attended, signalling the level of interest in such issues. As a result, a programme of further sessions will be arranged in the new year.

Many people also dropped in to pick up leaflets and ask questions. Thank you to MIND for their time. All in all it was a very interesting day and the content gave us all food for thought. Watch this space!
