Name: Cheryl Kennedy
Role: Middleton Court Manager (Nursing, High Dependency, and Palliative care)
My journey: Cheryl began working in Care at the age of 20 as a Care Assistant, where she realised very quickly her passion for Nursing. She qualified as Registered General Nurse in 2012 with an Honours degree in Adult Nursing studies, as well as achieving the best performance rate out of 100 Nursing students over the 4 years. Once qualified, she moved to the North East where she began her first staff Nurse role in the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, working on a busy care of the elderly ward. Following this, she took up the role of patient safety lead in a small hospice delivering palliative and End of Life Care, which still remains one of her passions. In 2018, she took up the role of Deputy Manager/Clinical Lead in a Dementia-focused care home, before finally becoming Middleton Court Manager 2 years later for Middleton Hall.
My aim in life is… to be happy and to make sure those around me are too.
