Middleton Hall Retirement Village is set within 45 acres of woodland and parkland and boasts extensive facilities both indoors and outdoors. These facilities are available for the enjoyment of all residents, their families and friends. Retirement life is all about having the time to engage with and enjoy activities. At Middleton Hall there are many of these on the doorstep.
Middleton Hall aims to provide an environment where residents can live active and fulfilling lives. This covers health and fitness, recreation, spiritual, holistic and educational opportunities. We call this philosophy “Living Well”.
“I’ve learnt table tennis! I’m not very good but enjoy the socialising” (Middleton Court resident) For organised activities in Life at MH
“The Photography Group gives me the opportunity to go places I would otherwise not have visited, I enjoy the social aspect, made lots of new friends within and outside the group.” (resident of Middleton Woods)
After spending time with the Living Well Champion (there is one member of staff who volunteers as this in each care service), it came to light that a newer resident used to enjoy swimming and keeping fit. It has now been arranged for them to use the Spa, and she now swims twice a week, uses the gym twice a week and quotes “this keeps me active and fit, and gives me something to look forward to. There are plenty of activities here, you can never get bored”. Carer, Middleton Grove For Keeping Fit and Healthy in Life at MH
“I have learnt to do things that I’ve never done before and never thought I would do. Today we are continuing with the quilting, which is something I never thought I would do.” – (resident of Middleton Grove) in Care Service activities in Life at MH
“People across Middleton Hall think of residents from fellow care services who might like to join them and then they invite them to activities or events. We have a lady in Middleton Oaks who goes to aqua aerobics with people from Middleton Woods and The Waterside. She has been to the cinema with people from Middleton Grove and the theatre with those from Middleton Gardens.” Carer, Middleton Court
