Interest in the final phase of the Waterside has been growing since we released the prices. The nine properties in phase five include eight dormer bungalows and one ground floor property. The final phase is due for completion in spring 2017 and with only two properties remaining, now is a perfect time to view.
Since construction commenced on The Waterside, the renewable energy market has changed as a result of government cuts to subsidies particularly for solar energy. This has resulted in some slight modifications to the final phase Waterside properties to ensure all homes remain low cost and energy efficient.
These Waterside properties as well as having photovoltaic panels have under floor heating with an air source pump. The photovoltaic panels will still give ‘free electricity’ during daylight hours and a small feed in tariff rate. Alongside this, an air source heat pump will provide the heating to the ground floor and to the radiators in the dormer. All other key features of these zero carbon properties remain the same including triple glazing, double cavity wall insulation and the mechanical ventilation and heat recovery system. A choice of wood burner is also available.
Prices of The Waterside properties start from £297,500 for the ground floor property to £363,000 for the dormer bungalow with a garage.
