ITV Tyne Tees reporter Helen Carnell visited Middleton Hall Retirement Village on Friday 30 April to film around the grounds.
She was filming a report about the village’s open day for the National Open Garden Scheme which is going ahead on Saturday 24 July this year.
As well as shooting footage around our wonderful estate Helen interviewed a number of residents about what living amongst the Hall’s gardens and grounds means to them.
Estates Supervisor Ben Henderson was also interviewed about what visitors can expect to see during the open day, pictured below.
The item was broadcast on the ITV Tyne Tees news on Friday 7 May with a possible further report to be broadcast before the July event.
Tickets for the open day can be booked in advance and cost £5 for an adult and £2 for a child, with all the money raised going to charity. Bookings are now open on the National Open Garden Scheme website at https://ngs.org.uk/view-garden/36499
Visitor numbers are limited this year to allow for social distancing so make sure you book early to avoid disappointment!
