Front of House Assistant

We have a vacancy for a Front of House Assistant working 20 hours per week.  You will need to have a friendly manner, a positive caring can do attitude, good problem-solving skills and the ability to use your own initiative as well as being willing to go the extra mile.

Duties include meeting and greeting customers, taking orders, serving drinks and food in the Orangery and Restaurant, booking functions, general housekeeping, clearing tables and washing up and ensuring the highest standards of service is delivered at all times, therefore you must be able to work under pressure, there will be some heavy lifting involved.  The role will also involve ordering goods from our suppliers and using our till system.  Previous experience of waiting tables, bar or hotel work, Barista training, using tills, a PDQ machine, knowledge of dietary requirements and food hygiene level 1 would be an advantage.

You should have a high attention to detail, be a great team player with a patient and caring approach and always remain calm and focused under pressure.  We are looking for people who are able to provide that 5* customer service.

Shifts will include working weekdays, weekends and evenings as required, including bank holidays.   We will need the successful candidate to be adaptable & flexible and be able to cover extra shifts if required.
