Bidding Goodbye to Winter

IMG_3450February may be the shortest month of the year but it is no less packed with events at Middleton Hall. Even the daffodils couldn’t wait to bloom as we continued our energetic start to 2016.

Love was definitely in the air for two events.  Residents and friends were treated to delights such as Crispy pork belly, on a bed of pickled cabbage, surrounded by seared scallops and red wine sauce, Champagne sorbet with cassis syrup and Passion fruit tart, with strawberry compote at a Valentine’s Dinner. A Valentine’s themed coffee morning was also enjoyed by many.

Other events borrowed themes from around the world. Chinese New Year was well and truly celebrated and a rays of Mediterranean sunshine brightened our winter at the A la Carte and Spanish Nights. Residents also sampled wines from afar at a Cheese and Wine Evening.

With all the other regular activities to fit in, Winter has flown by and we are ready to embrace Spring.
