Just like the rest of the nation, residents celebrated the Queen’s official 90th birthday in style.

Middleton Grove, Middleton Court, Middleton Gardens and Family Living each planned a street party – in their own unique ways. The parties, staged in each of the different areas, were joyful occasions with lots of smiles and laughter.

Residents and staff were busy making decorations and mementos leading up to the big day. Middleton Grove, for example, designed and made some beautiful laminated table mats with unusual photographs depicting the Queen’s life. Middleton Court made some magnificent crowns, worn with pride.

An amazing array of sandwiches and cakes was definitely of a royal standard. Some items of the menu held royal stories of their own. The many fantastic photographs were proof of the celebratory atmosphere. Happy Birthday Your Royal Highness!
