Middleton Hall’s National Care Home Open Day was a great success for all involved.
Firstly, we welcomed visitors who enjoyed the opportunity to take a tour of our facilities, accommodation and gardens. We were blessed with a beautiful sunny day and it was a pleasure to show guests around.
Visitors, residents and staff alike entered enthusiastically into the theme of the day – ‘The Arts and Valuing Our Staff’. Together we constructed and decorated an enormous Thank You card – the biggest that Middleton Hall has ever seen! Residents and members of staff left messages of thanks on the card. It was touching to read the expression of appreciation by so many. Residents also enjoyed making notelets and cards for their own loved ones. Our creativity was helped along by plentiful refreshments, including heart shaped biscuits to help the theme along.
David ‘Hutch’ Hutchinson entertained us with his live music in the afternoon. A good time was had by all.
We are always delighted to meet visitors at Open Days but would like to emphasise that people are always welcome to have a look around, simply by contacting Caroline Soullier on 01325 332207 to arrange a visit.
