Three great retirement options – One fantastic lifestyle

Time has flown and it is now well over two years since the construction of the 9 million, zero carbon development commenced. This summer, the prices for the final phase of the Waterside have been released and will remain at the same level as Phase 4. These properties are now available for reservation and are due for completion in late summer 2016.

The plans for phase 5 properties, following feedback and consultation, will see a couple of changes from the original plans.  The final 8 properties will be builtDormer using the type D design, liked by many for its flexibility and choice of layout.  These two bedroomed, detached properties all have a garage with the option of a dormer for additional living space. The properties are priced at £335,000.  Secondly, subject to final planning permission, it is planned that one of the properties will be slightly altered to create two smaller apartments, one on the ground floor and one in the dormer. Further details and prices on these apartments will follow.

Waterside - Photovoltaic panelsThe properties offer the best in sustainable living with minimal energy costs due to their triple glazing, wood burning stoves, high levels of insulation and photo-voltaic panels.

Designed as zero carbon homes, our residents are closely monitoring their energy uses. One resident commented “We are really pleased with our energy costs. Yes, we are careful in our consumption of electricity and may prefer a cooler living temperature to some, but even with the cost of logs, over the year, we have done better than the promise of low energy bills and actually had a negative energy bill”.

Equally of interest are the award winning Middleton Woods apartments consisting of one, two and three bedroom homes to purchase that come with spacious lounges, dining areas and high specification kitchens. Set around an attractive courtyard and pond, each apartment benefits from a patio or balcony to take advantage of the stunning views of the Cleveland Hills.View from Middleton Woods balcony

Within the hall itself, a further independent living option is available. Middleton Grove offers a unique lifestyle to those who enjoy their independence and privacy but would appreciate the benefits of support, companionship ands security within a small, friendly community. It provides spacious one bedrooms apartments with the comfort and services of a country house hotel.   The individual service packages remove the main, onerous household chores, such as meals, housekeeping and laundry.

Space, security and serenity are key elements of the Village boasting a range of luxury amenities, including its spa with swimming pool, spa pool and gym as well as the Orangery café, restaurant and sports facilities. Each of the independent living options offers the opportunity to be part of a welcoming community with an array of activities from gardening workshops, bowling and golf competitions to Middleton Hall’s popular photography club.
